PREAMBLE:-
With liberalization of the Indian Economy and the entry of international brands, importance of Advertising and Communication synergized with Management and Entrepreneurship processes has assumed greater significance.

Advertising & Communication as a sector has boomed and so has the requirement of professional for it. Conservative estimates place the size of the sector in Delhi and Mumbai alone at being above 4000 cores. So far in India, Advertising or Communication as areas of study are being imparted mostly as Post-Graduate studies. At the Under-Graduate level traditional colleges, within the framework of vocational program, offer a course or to which are not comprehensive enough to meet the Industry, Services or Commerce sector needs. Our study reveals the existence of a distinctive demand for high caliber professional with graduate PLUS level studies, who not only know the concept and tools but also the ‘creative content, of Advertising and Communication. The demand for such professional has also become an economic necessity for today’s conduct of Business and Commerce, who under pressure of restructuring require multi-skilled professional. Further, rapid development in IT with convergence coming from Computers and Communication has made in-depth fusion in Advertising and Communication a technological necessity.
With growing demand of true professional on the one hand and inadequacy of nurturing environments of creativity for the talented and gifted young minds on the other, we have embarked on a mission to bridge the dual gap, with the belief that by brining the best out amongst our youth, we will create the international frontrunner to take on the challenging global business environment.
The EMPI Institution of Advertising and Communication set up under direct guidance of doyen of Indian Advertising Ms. Tara Sinha and endorsed by professionals like Late Mr. Ajit Haksar, Chairman Emeritus, ITC and Mr. Ram Sehgal, President, Rediffusion DY&R, Mumbai, is EMPI’s institutional response towards addressing sector specific needs thereby educating student not just for a degree or knowledge but a career. Recently AdCoM has moved towards the concept of creating three independent wings, i.e., Advertising led by Ms. Tara Sinha , PR Corporate Communication by Mr.Irfan Khan & Social Communication Sector led by Dr. Binod Agrawal to facilitate the need of Voluntary Organisation & Extension Communication in India.
